- Identity and contact information: your name, email address, telephone number, billing address and delivery address.
- Order and transaction information: products viewed or purchased, cart contents, order value, payment method, payment status, delivery details and transaction records. Payment credentials may be collected directly by the relevant payment provider.

- Device and usage information: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, approximate location, pages viewed, Store interactions and information collected through cookies or similar technologies.
Not every category applies to every customer or visitor.
How we collect information
We collect information directly from you when you place an order, contact us, create an account or otherwise provide it. We also collect certain information automatically through Shopify, cookies and similar technologies. We may receive information from service providers involved in payments, delivery, fraud prevention, analytics and operation of the Store.
How we use your information and our lawful bases
- Contract: to operate checkout, process payment, accept and fulfil orders, arrange delivery, provide order updates and handle related customer service.
- Legitimate interests: to operate and improve the Store, respond to enquiries, understand Store performance, maintain records, prevent misuse, detect fraud and protect our customers, systems and business.
- Consent: where required, for optional cookies, direct marketing or another purpose for which we specifically request permission. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation: to maintain required accounting or transaction records, respond to lawful requests, protect legal rights and comply with applicable laws.
Certain contact, delivery, order and payment-related information is necessary for us to enter into or perform a purchase contract. If you do not provide it, we may be unable to accept, process or deliver your order.
How we share personal information
We may share personal information only as reasonably necessary with:
- Shopify: our Store runs on Shopify, which processes information to provide and improve its commerce platform and related services. You can read the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy.
- Service providers: including payment processors, delivery and fulfilment providers, hosting and IT providers, security and fraud-prevention providers, customer-service providers and analytics providers.
- Marketing and advertising providers: where such services are used and permitted by law, taking account of your consent and privacy choices.
- Professional advisers and authorities: where reasonably necessary to obtain advice, establish or defend legal rights, comply with law or respond to a valid legal request.
- Parties involved in a business transaction: where reasonably necessary in connection with a proposed or completed sale, merger, financing, reorganisation or transfer of all or part of a business, subject to applicable law.
Cookies and similar technologies
Shopify and relevant service providers use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Store, remember preferences, protect checkout and understand Store usage. Depending on the Store’s configuration, optional analytics or advertising technologies may also be used.
Where required by law, we request consent before using non-essential cookies. You can use the privacy or cookie choices available on the Store and your browser settings to control cookies. Blocking some cookies may affect Store functionality.
Direct marketing
You may opt out of direct marketing at any time by using the unsubscribe option in the message or emailing support@maxaroma.us. We may still send non-marketing messages relating to an order or service request.
How long we retain information
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil orders, provide customer service, maintain business, tax and accounting records, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations and establish or defend legal rights. When information is no longer required, it is deleted or anonymised, subject to any lawful retention requirement.
International transfers
Shopify and some service providers operate internationally, so personal information may be processed outside the United Kingdom or the country where you live. Where applicable law requires a transfer safeguard, information will be handled using a recognised mechanism such as an adequacy regulation or approved contractual safeguards.
Your privacy rights
Your rights depend on where you live and may be subject to legal conditions or exceptions. They may include the right to:
- request access to and a copy of your personal information;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- request deletion of your information;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- receive certain information in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- object to direct marketing; and
- exercise additional local rights relating to certain disclosures, profiling or targeted advertising, where applicable.
To make a request, email support@maxaroma.us. We may need information to verify your identity and locate the relevant records.
If you are in the United Kingdom and have concerns about how your information has been handled, you may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office through the ICO complaint service. We welcome the opportunity to address your concern first.
Children’s privacy
The Store is a general-audience service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information may contact us.
Security
We take reasonable administrative, technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information. However, no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Third-party links
The Store may contain links to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we recommend reviewing those policies before providing personal information.
